Mid-Patch League of Legends Update Released After Stability Changes



Riot Games said earlier League of Legends Patch 12.10's release got its big "durability update" that a hotfix or micropatch would later require to take care of any outliers, and this week the game got exactly that.  A mid-patch update was released on Thursday to smooth out champions that were either too strong or two weak after sweeping changes affecting every single champion in the game, but this is probably the last set of those changes. Will not be the ones we issue.

Durability update, for those who may have missed the discussions and Final Patch Notes, gave each champion the same buffs of extra health and resistance, while also healing and shielding across the board.  The expected result was greater survivability for all, but of course some champions were more difficult than others, while some were not killed enough.

"Our opening remarks: As expected, several champions with significant healing/shields in their kit were hit by systemic nerfs to heal/shield," Riot said in its notes for the mid-patch update.  We are following those who were hit a bit too hard by Broad Pass by partially bringing them back as needed.  Also, surprisingly, the late game scalpers and damage-over-time champions have jumped significantly, but the extent to which each champion would change was hard to predict."

That said, you can check out the notes for the mid-patch update below.  Riot cautioned that this hotfix "addresses only the most urgent outliers," so expect to see more changes in the future.
